Guests funneled past blue-white lights and were greeted by a ginger and champagne cordial at Amuse Restaurant in the VMFA to begin celebrating the VMFA’s Artrageous event. After guests were seated with friends and new acquaintances, Greg Haley’s kitchen proceeded to dazzle dinner-goers with a five course, French inspired meal, complete with carefully selected wine pairings. Ambient music from local musicians, Satellite Syndicate, contributed to the laid back atmosphere with vibes that sounded almost submerged in water, deep and flowing. From beginning to end the conversation flowed alongside libations and the culinary musings of chef Haley. After dinner, many of the guests went downstairs to the VMFA’s main foyer to continue the party with local musicians, and dancing entertainment. All in all, this event was a great success and UGK can’t wait to get back in the museum sometime very soon. Who wouldn’t want their palette to be the blank canvas for a culinary Picasso?
